About the conference:

Gone are the days of paper surveys or email questionnaires where you often get poor response rates. With the advancement of mobile technology, surveys can be seamlessly integrated into mobile apps, making it more fun for participants to respond than traditional methods.

 

The international conference on Market Research in the Mobile World: The Next Frontier will be held on the 2 & 3 December 2010 in Berlin. The aim of this conference is to bring together top researchers and practitioners to discuss the key challenges and opportunities of using mobile research applications for generating actionable insights. For this inaugural event, the key players in mobile research, both qualitative and quantitiatve are expected to attend.  

 

Conference format:
The conference format will consist of submitted (reviewed) presentations, a brainstorming workshop, invited keynotes and an interactive panel discussion session. As with past events, this conference will provide excellent opportunities for participants to network with peers. Highlights of the conference include keynote speeches by Gordon Morris & Siamack Salari (See below).


Gordon Morris, Global Insights Manager of Sony Ericsson will be providing a glimpse on the future of mobile technologies and how market researchers can leverage on new mobile data collection methods. He will also discuss how real-time insights could be generated effectively through current applications such as mobile online panels, remote ethnography and mobile surveys. 

Siamack Salari, Founder of EverydayLives and a pioneer in video ethnography will present a unique case study on how a mobile ethnography research tool is being used successfully by the World's No. 1 brand. He will discuss critical issues on security, legal and data aspects of using mobile application for research and also outlining learnings, mistakes and risks to proof test ideas and ensure wide adoption.
