Merlien Institute is an independent organisation dedicated to providing timely and critical information to the qualitative research community. Our mission is to provide researchers and practitioners a unique platform to brainstorm new ideas and learn best practices in a highly interactive conference environment. Unlike large conferences that are general in scope, Merlien Institute aims to facilitate meetings that are small, focused and fun! Our events have consistently resulted in new collaborations and projects among delegates.

A little bit about our history:
Merlien Institute was first established by Jasper Lim in 2006 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Singapore office was later established in 2009 to help support the growing demand for qualitative research events in the Asia-Pacific region. Merlien Institute, with its 3 staff and 26 strong Advisory Board Members now host more than 10 annual meetings around the globe with topics ranging from Computer-Aided Qualitative Research, Qualitative Research for Policy Making to Qualitative Research in the Web 2.0
